Daniel Rajmon first appeared as an actor in a short video set on the outskirts of Prague. This was a final project presented in the Video Atelier by Adam Smrekovský, and the video also appeared in the portfolio of a candidate applying to the Performance Atelier, who was Daniel himself. His performative journey at the school, involving various roles, began at the moment he failed to submit his electronic application for study and was excluded from the admission process. His acting performance caught the attention of the then-head of the Performance Atelier, Tomáš Ruller, who sadly noted that the applicant was excluded from the admission process and thus eliminated from advancing to the next round. If the English term "FLOP" is used to describe a peak form of engagement in acting or mime, one could similarly describe Rajmon's literal failure with the audience. This marked the beginning of his four-year bachelor's studies at FaVU.
Second attempt. Daniel began consulting in the Video Atelier and eventually found himself in a mountain plein air near the Serbian-Bulgarian border in the Old Balkan Mountains. He also became part of the atelier’s performance at the Belgrade Institute for Applause in 2019. After starting his studies, he appeared in several videos or short films by his fellow students. At the international Camera Oko Cinematographers Festival in Ostrava, he premiered the medium-length film Net Worth (2023), which he shot with Tamara Spalajković and Jakub Daněk. The two-member band Keiko Sei is formed by him and Tamara Spalajković, named after a Japanese curator who focused on the history of video and activism in art, and who led the Video Atelier in Brno in the 1990s. As part of his school activities, Daniel Rajmon founded the favu label and subsequently traveled to Tokyo (2023) to perform with Keiko Sei.
